OUR MISSION
Our mission is to share our love of Argentine Tango with our students by continuing to teach classes for all levels as well as sponsoring "master teachers". Our focus is on correct technique and strong leading and following skills so that our dancers can enjoy tango on any floor with any partner.


OUR DIRECTION
We intend to continue the growth and expension of our Tango community to en compass dancers of all ages and backgrounds. Our current goals are to increase opportunities for master workshops, milongas, and live tango music, while future plans include the formation of a local tango band and as Argentine Tangoi performance team.


BIOGRAPHY
Vatan Koc has been teaching since he first came to the United States. He started as an assistant ballroom teacher to Walt Medicis at Syracuse University, until he found his love to be Argentine Tango. His main influences are Metin Yazir of Baila Tango and the fabulous Guillermina Quiroga. His teaching style concentrates on developing strong lead and follow techniques within the various steps for a clear understanding of the dance. He has been teaching for Baila Tango since January 2000.

Elizabeth Yormick has enjoyed extensively studying and teaching many forms of dance over the last 12 years before settling on two of her favorite forms- Middle Eastern and Argentine Tango.

Elizabeth and Vatan have been dancing and teaching together since they started to tango in January 2000.
